Author Kittie Preas Koukalik was born in Texas and moved with her young husband, Terry, to the Bonita AZ area in 1973. In 1982, Terry started Preas Welding.
Together they raised one special needs child and both their son and daughter have epilepsy. Kittie’s life changed when she suddenly became widowed at age forty-nine.
Kittie has been a strong advocate for the Developmentally Disabled and served as a volunteer and Chairperson for 15 years, resigning only when her special needs granddaughter, Trinity, was born, after Terry's death.
Kittie has remarried to a retired law enforcement officer/34 year USAF Veteran (CMSgt). She and Tommy anxiously await their second granddaughter who is due around Christmas 2012.

I have had an exciting year. After getting out of my contract with Publish America, I had my book re-done by Cindy Bauer. It is now available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. Very soon it will be available on Kindle. It is all new and improved formatting, with beautiful color photos!
My book trailer was awarded "Best Book Trailer" for Jan. 2013. I am very proud of that.

In 2008 I was already writing my book "How Can I Keep From Singing". My former brother in law had a book published by Publish America. He told me they published more unpublished authors than any other publishing company. So when my book was completed I submitted it to PA. It was accepted. I was thrilled.
